Encadernação coeva com charneira cansada com pasta anterior quase solta, inteira de carneira mosqueada fina, lombada dividida em 5 casas, com vestígios dourados na lombada. Miolo bem preservado, em muito bom estado de conservação. Trabalho de traça ao longo de todo o volume, sem prejuizo maior de mancha tipográfica nem de leitura, no canto superior esquerdo da obra. Rúbrica de posse de Thomas Lane (1862) na folha de guarda.§§

Colecção completa de quatro manuais populares pseudo-Aristotélicos sobre procriação, gestação, nascimento e parto, banida da circulação até anos 60 do séc. XX, não havendo consenso a este respeito pelos autores da bibliofilia inglesa. Foi com certeza indiciada pela legislação britânica na 1857 Obscene Publications Act como sendo permitida circular apenas por alguns livreiros e editores.

Apresenta um anterosto impresso com os dizeres: THE WORKS OF ARISTOTLE complete in four parts que antecede por uma xilogravura popular com criança negra e mulher adulta nua, junto de uma secretária com médico (?) sentado a escrever num manual, com estante livreira em plano de fundo.

Uma folha impressa que antece o ante-rosto, depois da folha de guarda, apresenta pela frente uma simples xilgravura com criança negra e mulher nua,  e no verso a xilogravura descrita atrás, distinta. A obra Masterpiece apresenta no final da segunda parte, no texto, quatro xilogravuras de feição popular apresentado figuras com deformações e mal-formações humanas denominadas "monstros nados". A obra Midwife apresenta uma grande xilogravura desdobrável represenado um feto num ventre desmembrado ao estilo renascentista com texto impresso.

Aristotle’s Compleat Masterpiece foi a PRIMEIRA OBRA e a de maior difusão deste tipo de textos de sabedoria populares, sobre Sexologia e Obstetrícia em Inglaterra. A primeira edição data de 1684 , sendo que Aristotle’s Last Legacy foi primeiramente impressa em 1720. Aristotle’s Compleat and experience’d Midwife, impresso pela primeira vez em 1700, foi aparentemente traduzido pelo autor popular autodidacta e empírico da obstetrícia William Salmon, autor prolífico de tratados médicos domésticos. A obra Book of Problems foi uma compilação medieval de questões e respsotas em História Natural, anexado com os de Marcantonio Zimara e Alexandre Aphrodisias. Esta obra conheceu diversas edições até meados séc. XIX , sendo todas elas hoje consideradas raras.
